The Perfect Storm of End Time Events is Now in Motion

  • Post author: Betty Miller Author’s Note:  I wrote this article almost 7 years ago and posted it on the BibleResources.org website at the time.  We are now walking through many of the 12 things I listed as “End Time Events.”  The article below may be one of the most important messages I have ever written.  I have made no changes or edits to this article since 2015. I will mention that the blood and lunar eclipse will occur again May 15-16, 2022 around the world.   Please prayerfully consider reading this article, as it is a warning of things now happening and things to come and how you can be prepared and be an overcomer in this hour.  Feel free to share with others.

Are You Ready to Overcome These 12 End Time Events?

By Betty Miller

“And he (Jesus) said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is. And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass. Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?” Luke 12:54-56

The Perfect Storm of End Time Events is rapidly lining up on the horizon. Are you ready? First, let me say at the beginning of this article, that I am not writing this article as a prophetess of God, but rather as a watchman on the wall sounding an alarm. What do I mean by this? I am like a reporter or a weatherman warning of a storm coming, because of the signs that are seen in the sky.

A watchman on the wall is one, who in prayer, is watching and praying for people during these perilous times.

“If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.”Ezekiel 33:3-7

Below is a list of 12 events on the horizon that could trigger the unfolding of a Perfect Storm of End Time Events. (I have purposely not expounded on these subjects individually for brevity’s sake, but if you would like more about any of these subjects, I have linked to the detailed teachings on those subjects on our website and you can find information about the others on the Internet.) Any one of these events could trigger the domino effect that will set in motion events that cannot be stopped by any man and can only be survived through God’s intervention:

12 End Time Events Now in Progress

  1. A World Wide Economic Crash Coming Soon – Prophesied by Many in the Church and Predicted by Many in the World (The Beginning of Sorrows, Tribulation, Famine)
  2. The Biblical Shemitah Season – Ends in September (The Jewish Sabbath Year That Could Produce An Event that Will Trigger an Economic & Stock Market Collapse)1
  3. The Blood Moon Phenomenon – Will Manifest this September Again (A Sign That Will Manifest in the Heavens Before the Second Coming of Christ as the Moon Appears to Be the Color of Blood)2
  4. The Cultural Changes in the Earth that are Abominations to God – They Bring the Death Principle to Societies (Same Sex Marriages, Abortion, Embracing of Idolatry and Witchcraft and Other Filthy Abominations)
  5. The Violence in the Earth, as in Noah’s Day (Violence, Beheadings, Terrorism, Torture, Shootings, Wars, Rumors of Wars, Anarchy and Martial Law )
  6. The Increasing Judgments in the Earth (Judgments, Drought, Famine and Plagues Resulting in Masses of Humans and Animals Dying)
  7. The Increase of Demonic Activity (Interest in Satan, Demons, Witchcraft and the Occult, Space Aliens)
  8. The Cataclysmic Changes in Weather and Geological Disasters (Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Floods, Fires and Earthquakes)
  9. The Deception in the Church and the World (False Doctrine, Lying Spirits, False Prophets, Acceptance of Abominations as Normal, Calling “Good” Evil and “Evil” Good, Apostasy)
  10. The Threat of Atomic Warfare that Can Trigger the Beginning of the Great Tribulation (Wars & Rumors of Wars, The Threat of the Destruction of Israel, War in the Middle East, One World Government, the Anti-Christ Reign)
  11. The Fear Among the People in the World (Suicide, Disease, Death, Heart Attacks, End Time Preppers)
  12. The Visitation of God in the Church (Preparation for the Coming of the Lord, Revival, Miracles, The Church Rising, Demonstrations of the Kingdom of God, A Witness to the World of God’s Power, Sealing of the Bride, etc.)

The events listed above are not my predictions, but rather are events spoken of in the Bible. (Read: Matthew 24-25, Luke 21, & Mark 13.) Just reading the Bible and praying will educate you. Hermeneutics and eschatology should be a part of every believer’s life. What do these words mean? Hermeneutics is simply a word that theologians have given to the study and interpretation of the Word of God, while eschatology is the specific study of the end times and/or the last days. We are admonished in the Bibleto study to show ourselves approved unto God” (2 Timothy 2:15) and in the opening of the book of Revelation we are told we will be blessed by reading that book and it is a book of future events.

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” Revelation 1:3

There are many of God’s leaders who have written scores of books and articles on the various subjects listed above and I could also write entire articles on each of them (and have already done so on many of these subjects, and they can be studied in depth by clicking to those articles on the BibleResources.org website.) However, my objective today is to look at the broader implications of all of these events that are coming to a climax, all at one time, during this season. It is now more important than ever for us, as God’s people, to not only prepare for this season, but to also witness and warn others to prepare and lead people to Christ while there is time. There are those who say it is not necessary to prepare for the great tribulation as Jesus will come before that time. Then others believe that Jesus will not return to rapture His people until the end of the tribulation period (of which some believe that it will only be three and half years, while others believe it will be 7 years). Without getting into this debate here, my calling right now is to tell people to be ready no matter what happens!

The Bible does have a lot to say about being ready and watching for the coming of the Lord; although no man knows the exact time when He is coming, we were told the season He would return and we have now entered into that season. So from scripture we see that His coming will be a surprise. We can, however, know the season, as He gave us that information in Matthew 24. We are told there will be a time of sorrows, perilous times and great tribulation before our Lord returns to this earth to set up His Kingdom.

“So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.” Matthew 24:33

“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” Matthew 25:13

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” Matthew 24:29-30

If ever, we lived in a day when all the warning alarms are going off, it is now. We are seeing the Perfect Storm clouds gathering. We are hearing these warnings from the church, from the secular world, from the financial sector, from the media of TV, movies, videos, etc. What are we to do to prepare in the midst of these storms that make up a Perfect Storm?

Preparation for the Days Ahead

Since I am a minister, my duty is to share the Word of God so His people can be ready spirit, soul and body. How can we prepare for this “Perfect Storm”?  Here is a condensed list of the main ways we can prepare:

Spiritual Preparation: First and foremost is spiritual preparation.

  1. We must repent and be born again and make Jesus the Lord of our lives and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
  2. We then should pursue the things of God whole heartedly by loving God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
  3. We must walk in faith and trust God in all things.
  4. We must walk in holiness and righteousness by the grace of God and by daily keeping a submissive heart toward God.
  5. We must appropriate His grace daily to walk in love and obedience to His Word by loving God first and then, our neighbors as ourselves.
  6. We must resist the devil and temptation with the Word of God and keep God’s commandments.
  7. We must be willing to do anything, go anywhere, and give up anything for the Kingdom of God’s sake; this is a total commitment to God.
  8. We must have regular prayer times personally and also with our own families and the church, thus we need to be committed to a church family.
  9. We must forgive everyone who has hurt us and make restitution when we have failed others and ask them to forgive us.
  10. We must walk in a life of praise and worship. (This is more than singing praise and worship songs as the highest form of worship is obedience to God’s Word.)
  11. We must read the Bible daily and be involved in a Bible Study so we can learn how to walk in the Overcoming Life, as taught in the Bible, in order to keep the laws of giving and reaching out to help others in the ministry calling God has for each of His children.
  12. We must ask the Lord for a heart and soul cleansing. Here is a prayer you can pray: “Dear Heavenly Father, I first of all, ask you to forgive all of my sins, known and unknown. Come into my heart and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Lord, show me where I have been deceived and give me the grace to renounce those things that have kept me in bondage. Give me your love and grace to live the Christian life as You intended me to live. Reveal to me how to walk in the Overcoming Life. Cleanse my heart of all things that have offended You. Let me hear Your voice clearly as to all the things I need to do at this time and give me the grace and power to obey You. Show me where I need to be at this hour and what I need to do for the Kingdom of God. I ask this in the Name of Jesus. Amen.”

Soul Preparation: The soul is made up of the mind, emotions and the will; therefore, we must renew our minds with the Word of God and bring our emotions under the control of the Holy Spirit and commit our will totally to the will of God. We can do this by doing the following:

  1. We need to first and foremost put the Word of God in our mind, in order to renew our mind with the knowledge of the Bible, as it should be the standard for all of our activities.
  2. We must not allow our emotions to rule us, but allow the Holy Spirit to train us to yield to the Spirit’s promptings that line up with the Word of God.
  3. We must not allow our circumstances to rule us, as we are sons and daughters of God and He can change all negative circumstances to positive ones that allow us to walk in His will if we walk in faith.
  4. We need to focus on the study of the Bible first in order to learn God’ wisdom and His ways.
  5. We also need to then add the secular knowledge that will be beneficial for our occupations or study subjects that will help us in hard times and the days ahead (Self-sufficiency, gardening, resourcefulness, frugality, etc.)
  6. We must stop putting evil things in our minds like violent movies and pornography. We should choose classic and lofty literature that edifies us.
  7. We must take control of our children’s education by either home schooling them or sending them to a Christian school or private school that teaches Christian principles.
  8. We must guard the “eye and ear gates” by carefully choosing what we read and what we see and hear.
  9. We must get rid of all evil books, games and video that corrupt our minds.
  10. We must select music that is edifying, not worldly music like “Rock and Roll.”
  11. We must carefully choose our friends so we are not influenced by those who do not follow God. We can testify to people who do not know God, but our friends should be those of like character.
  12. We must be careful not to allow the new technology of cell phones, IPads, and computers to dominate our lives and our minds as access to certain things can become idols and/or addictions of the mind.

Body Preparation: We should also prepare for hard times in all of the areas that affect the physical realm of our lives by doing the following:

  1. We should work toward getting completely out of debt and staying out of debt.
  2. We should get out of the worldly system into God’s order of doing things like tithing and giving.
  3. We should learn how to be self-sufficient.
  4. We should look to God to supply all of our needs. We cannot look to the government or others to supply our needs. God can use any source, but we must not become dependent on it.
  5. We should take care of our bodies by keeping the laws of God regarding health, cleanliness and eating.
  6. We should also seek the Lord in reference to what we need to do physically to prepare for the days ahead.
  7. We should make sure we are in the right place geographically as some areas will be suffering the judgment of God. There is no safety outside of the will of God. However, if you are in the will of God you could be in a war zone and still be safe if God has sent you there to minister to others or you find yourself in that circumstance.
  8. We should prepare with some emergency food and water reserves, but we should avoid the extremes that some preppers are doing today. (We cannot witness and share with others from fortified bunkers with 7 years of food supplies stored up.)
  9. We must look to God in faith and practice obedience to the Word of God that will save us, as His promise is to those who endure to the end, the same shall be saved (Matthew 24:13). We can only endure the sorrows and tribulation of the days ahead by looking to Jesus, our redeemer and savior.
  10. We can stand on the promises of God recorded in Psalm 91 for help and protection in times of trouble. God promises protection to all those who put their trust and faith in Him. God promises to protect us from pestilence, terror, war and destruction as He will give His angels charge to watch over us.
  11. We can appropriate all we need in the natural such as food, clothing and housing as God is concerned about our physical needs and will supply if we ask in faith.
  12. We will need God’s supernatural supply in the days ahead. We must go to the Word of God and by faith believe that He can do things supernaturally when there is no way in the natural for the provision we need. He can multiply food, cause things that are broken to run, He can heal us without a doctor, cause our clothes not to wear out, give us light in darkness, protect us from viruses and plagues, protect us and our homes from natural disasters and translate us where we need to go. We must remember we are in the world, but not of the world so when all the world’s provision fails us, we can shift into the Kingdom supply that God has in reserve for those that love Him and abide in Him. However, we cannot receive these things unless we are totally committed to God and walking in His will.

God wants to save us individually and save our nations, but this can only happen as we repent and commit our lives totally to Him. I do believe my nation, America, will be saved, but all the signs now point to salvation by the fires of judgment and tribulation. God has been merciful and has given us a chance to return to our godly roots, but now we, as a corporate body, have spurned Him and our national sins have filled up the cup of indignation. That means we face increasing judgments until we repent and our actions, as the church, produce revival in the land. We must first, as Christians, have revival in our individual hearts to see revival in America. We have spurned the “goodness of God” toward us as a nation, so now the “severity of God” will increasingly be manifested in the judgments of God brought on by our own sin as we reap what we sow. We have walked in rebellion and unbelief and despised the things of God.

“Your own wickedness shall chasten (and) correct you, and your backslidings (and) desertion of faith shall reprove you. Know therefore (and) recognize that this is an evil and bitter thing: (first), you have forsaken the Lord your God; (second,) you are indifferent to Me (and) the fear of Me is not in you, says the Lord of hosts.” Jeremiah 2:19 (AMP)

“Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.” Romans 11:20-23

Now it is the will of God that His people in the midst of these judgments will be saved and protected and used mightily of Him to demonstrate His Kingdom on the earth in every nation. But for this to happen we must return to Him with our whole hearts and do His will and turn from our own ways.  It is time for the church to “rise and shine” at this hour since we are the instruments He will use to bring revival (Isaiah 61). I am praying the perfect storm of judgment on America will be judgment unto restoration and redemption and not judgment unto total destruction. I also pray the overcomers will rise to lead the church into holiness and righteousness and victory! Worldliness and apathy will not be a part of the overcomers of this hour. May the Lord be merciful to us in the midst of the coming Perfect Storm of Judgment to this nation and the world. Prepare ye the way of the Lord! Come Lord Jesus and save your people!   It is never too late to give your life to God and He will come and save you!   Then He can use you in the great end time work of God to be demonstrated to the whole world! He plans to use His Bride and His remnant to show His power and glory in the earth! God will do a perfect work in the midst of a perfect storm of end time events.

Matthew 24:13  “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.”

End Notes:

  1. The Mystery of the Shemitah by Jonathan Cahn has been on the New York Times Best Seller List and is a book about the events happening in America that can be tied to the Jewish Shemitah year. The Shemitah year is the seventh year of the seven year agricultural cycle mandated by the Jewish Torah for the land of Israel but Cahn says understanding this seven-year pattern is essential for understanding the prophecies and mysteries of the Bible and is still applicable today. This book predicts a financial judgment tied to the collapse of the stock market and the world’s economic system in the fall of 2015. https://www.cbn.com/700club/guests/bios/jonathan_cahn_090314.aspx

Comment from Elect Lady Raesheia N.:

Blessings to you GREAT woman of God and ALL of your God given anointed staff. I’ll keep this email short. I was led to your site by the Holy Spirit a year and a half ago. Ever since being exposed to it, I have become “biblically born again”. I just want to say I thank God for your obedience and your great example of sacrifice and submission to God. It was through this God given ministry that I received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and begin speaking in tongues (during the pandemic). I am blessed, honored and I TELL EVERYONE about this online resource. When I share this with others they scratch their heads and squint their eyes and say, “But aren’t you a Bishop’s wife? Didn’t you grow up in the greatest church organization in the world” (Church Of God in Christ)? I say, “Yes I did, but clearly a whole lot was missed and that’s why I sought God for more and He led me to you all (Hallelujah)! I am forever Grateful, to this ministry. I lead a women’s fellowship class every other Saturday, teaching from the workbooks written by Pastor Betty Miller! I have so much to share, but I said I’d be short! I love you all so much. God WILL CONTINUE to bless this ministry, until He returns.

Showing our thanks to God with our finances and gifts to His work.

One way we can show our thanks is to give to the work of God. Ask God where you are to give as there are many good ministries today that are reaching the world around them with the gospel. Local churches need help because of the Covid19 closures so do not forget them and the many evangelists that have been grounded.  We would also be grateful if you chose to include us in your giving this year. God bless you in advance.

Should Christians Prepare for a Global Monetary Crash?

Should Christians Prepare for a Global Monetary Crash?

Is Bitcoin Real Money? What about Gold and Silver?

By Betty Miller

A Looming Global Monetary Crash Coming Soon?

Wall Street Sign

Many financial speculators are giving financial advice and telling people to protect their life savings and move their cash to Bitcoin or silver and gold or real estate or hard assets. Is all their advice scriptural? Is some of it good?  There is talk of governments moving to a cashless society and using crypto and/or digital currencies. What is real money?  What are crypto currencies? Is Bitcoin a safe investment?  How will these things affect us? Will there be inflation and a depression?  Is there something we can do to protect our life savings? As Christians, who can we trust? Should Christians even be involved in this discussion? When will this happen? Is the new administration making plans to change our entire financial system? I will attempt to answer some of these questions in this article by sharing my personal opinions after some research and study and scriptural advice from the Word of God. The most important thing will be our faith in God to sustain and protect us.

What are Christian Leaders Saying about a Stock Market Crash?

News about a crash is not just coming from secular people and financial advisors and experts, but many Christian leaders are voicing their concerns as well. Some Prophets of God are prophesying this crash, as well. One major prophetic voice, the late David Wilkerson, has been predicting a great depression for years.  He wrote a book entitled, “God’s Plan to Protect His People In the Coming Depression.”  The last time I checked, this book was out of print and there were only a few copies for sale on the Internet and they were going for over $100.00 each. Here are two quotes from David from this book:

“One third of the world is now suffering economic depression! No one will ever convince me that America can avoid a full-blown depression. In fact, I believe it has already begun.  Soon the financial bubble will burst and we are going to be shocked by the blindness and ignorance of our leaders and financial experts. They have no idea of the severity and suddenness of the coming storm. Soon the cry will be: Was there nobody in charge? How did this happen?”

“Those, who right now, are setting their hearts to seek God with all their being and are saturating their hearts and minds with the Word of God are better prepared for the coming storm than anyone. They are safer and more protected than those in the world who have made all kinds of physical preparation. The only trustworthy preparations are those for the heart, not the body. This is where all preparations must begin. However, a servant of God loses nothing by storing a supply of food. If chaotic conditions are indeed ahead, our food supply will allow us to be prepared just as Joseph in the Bible was. You may ask, what if no such crisis comes to pass? The answer is simple: We can simply use the food later or, better yet, give it away to needy families, to God’s glory.”

Both camps (secular and spiritual) are predicting a crash with a depression, but they just give their own opinions and advice as to what they believe you should do about it.  Some are investing in gold and silver and others real estate. Some are listening to the speculators and are moving their funds to Bitcoin.  Some are investing in food reserves, hard assets, etc.  I am not a financial advisor but feel led to share with you a lot of the information that I am hearing about on the news and the Internet. I want you to be aware of these dire predictions, so you can pray and ask God if you need to do anything. As a Christian, the first thing I do is to pray about things and take my questions to the Lord and look to the Word of God to answer them.

Bitcoin and the Stock Market

Since there is so much in the news about Bitcoin right now and I did not feel good about it, I started praying and asking God about the subject, along with doing some research.  I wanted an answer from God, as I have friends invested in this and some have asked me what I thought about it.  (Just for the record, I do not own any Bitcoin stock or any other stock for that matter.) I am not against people investing in the stock market if they are led of the Lord to do so, but since the stock market and Wall Street promote so much lust and greed it is wise to seek God when handling things in the world.

Here is an excerpt from a previous article, “What the Bible Says about the Stock Market? that  I penned a number of years ago on this subject:

“What the Bible Says about the Stock Market”

The Bible actually does not say anything specifically about the Stock Market. However, it is full of principles that directly affect any kind of investing. The basic principle of the stock market is not wrong if it is followed properly.  What is that principle? When a man or a group of men have a good and righteous business or company that benefits humanity; yet they lack funding to make that business productive, it creates a need for another’s help. If another man or a group of men (investors) have surplus funds and could use the monies as additional or future support, it also creates a need for another’s help. When the one group physically does the work and the other supports that work with his funds, it becomes mutually beneficial for both parties. However, today, many people invest without any research in the company they are investing in. They do not know if the company policies are based on good Biblical principles. They know nothing as to how their employees are treated. They know nothing of the history of the company. They do not know the character of the ones running the business; whether they are honest, reliable or trustworthy, etc. They know nothing of their alliances (do they support or promote unholy causes such as pornography, abortion, etc.). Sad to say, but most of the stock market is run by lust and greed, instead of wise investment and helping one another. <Continue Reading>

Personal Message from Betty Miller

Personal Message from Betty Miller

Dear Internet Friend:Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for you. I pray that this email finds you full of hope and gratitude! I have written some amazing testimonies below that I pray will encourage you in this hour of chaos in the world.  One is how God changed the wind and kept a forest fire from coming to our house some years ago.“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy Name, oh Most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night…. For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands” (Psalm 92:1-5).

We have so much to be thankful for even in spite of the election turmoil and the Pandemic.  As I look back over the years, I am grateful to the Lord for all He has done for me personally and in the Internet ministry at BibleResources.org. My greatest challenge this year was when Bud, my late husband, went to heaven back in March, right at the beginning of the Pandemic.  He did not die of Covid19, but rather of complications after surgery for a kidney stone and bladder issues.  He was ready to meet the Lord, as he was 91.  I do greatly miss him, but I am so thankful that the Lord gifted me with a wonderful marriage of 43 years with such a great husband and a dedicated servant of God.  Over the years, so many things looked insurmountable as we faced our trials, yet the Lord brought us through every one of them in the most amazing ways. He brought the ministry through financial difficulties, lawsuits assailed against us, cyber-attacks where hackers tried to stop the ministry from continuing and then there were the threatening fires and tornados coming very close to our ministry property. On top of the ministry issues, there were the personal battles we fought against different physical infirmities, emotional heartache because of estranged relationships, long nights of prayer against spiritual entities, but through it all, I can say as the Psalmist did in Psalms 34:19: “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.” And, as Paul said in 2 Corinthians 6:3-4: “Giving no offence in anything, that the ministry be not blamed: But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses.”

I only share this in order to give you my testimony that He has never failed me and therefore I give praise to Him!  I can boast in the Lord that He has brought me through every trial victoriously! Now, I want to encourage you in the Lord if you too are struggling with unexpected difficulties in your journey. I can confidently say that if you look to Him in faith, you can receive your answers, as well. Remember, He is faithful. I know that for a fact by just looking back over the years when Bud and I faced one obstacle after another. My prayer for you is: “Lord Jesus, you have taken care of all of my daily needs and you do not love me more than any of your other children, so I know that you will meet their needs as well, when they turn to you with their whole hearts. Father, meet those needs today. I am thankful that you called me to the ministry so I could pray for Your people and help to encourage them. Bless them today. Thank you, Jesus!”

Although we have made mistakes over the years and in spite of our faults, He has proved Himself faithful to us. We all still must trust the Lord on a daily basis, as in the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:11 that says, “Give us this day our daily bread.”  Now, receiving daily provision  has become a way of life for me, so I do not worry about the tomorrows, but trust our Lord with them. He told us He would never leave us nor forsake any of His children.

I just want to say to you that I am thankful for your prayers and offerings this past year.  It has been because of your help and prayer, in times past, that we have been able to press on through many difficult circumstances. We are so thankful for all who support the ministry. We are also grateful for your continued help at this time. You are a blessing. We must keep up with the evolution of the Internet to be able to reach the world for Christ through this ever changing media. It has been challenging, but also a blessing to be in a position to face such a steep learning curve (at my age, a young 80 thanks to Him). I have chosen not to retire, but to continue to work for the ministry until I have finished my course.  God certainly has His ways to keep us young! Also, pray for me to have the prayer support and trained and experienced workers that I need and most of all, pray for my continued strength and health.  I also need the Lord’s love, wisdom and guidance in all I do.

Once again, I truly thank God from the bottom of our heart for those who have stood with us through the years. We appreciate your volunteer work and financial giving to the ministry, and most of all, your prayers and friendship. One of the most precious things about ministering on the Internet, is meeting so many wonderful people. We, at Christ Unlimited Ministries, have been so blessed!  BibleResources.org would not be what it is today if it were not for every person who has contributed through the years. We thank you and we know the Lord does too.

Know that you are loved and that we do pray for you. May you experience more of His love during this Thanksgiving season. I write this with a thankful heart.  I know this is a long newsletter, but just save it and then you can read parts of it each day, as my prayer is that it will strengthen your faith to know how powerful and wonderful God is. He is with us right, so we face the future of our nation and personal lives with great anticipation. Jesus loves you and so do I.

The Biblical Time of Sorrows

The Biblical Time of Sorrows

by Betty Miller

In Mark 13 and Matthew 24 the Lord tells us about a “time of sorrows” that will come prior to the great tribulation before Jesus returns to the earth. We personally believe we are in the “time of sorrows” now.Mark 13:8 – For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. Matthew 24:6-8 – And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Increase of Prayer Needed

The Lord has impressed upon me personally to increase my prayer time and to pray in the spirit (tongues) more, so that we do not fall under the attacks of the devil. I felt He wanted me to encourage you to increase your prayer time also. And for those who have the gift of speaking in tongues and have not been using it, we encourage you to stir that gift up. If you have not received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues, we encourage you to ask the Lord for this gift, as it will empower you to live the overcoming life. We have a couple of teachings on the BibleResources.org website that will help you to understand the power of this gift in your personal prayer life at these links below:

Praying in Tongues

Baptism In the Holy Spirit

The Bible tells us that when we pray in tongues, we are praying in the Spirit, and the Holy Spirit knows what the will of God is for every situation, therefore when we do not know how to pray, the Holy Spirit does. We have seen amazing answers to prayer just by praying in the Spirit and standing on the promises of the Word of God.

Mark 16:17 – And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.

1 Corinthians 14:2: – For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

Romans 8:26 – Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

1 Corinthians 14:18 – I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all.

1 Corinthians 14:21 – In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.

Testimony of How Christ Protected Us From Forest Fire Threats
In Arizona these past years we have stood with friends and loved ones in faith and prayer against the wildfires that were threatening to destroy their property. As we all prayed and believed God, He did not fail us. The Lord was faithful to spare their home, as the fire went around their home and their neighborhood.

This year is not the first time we have stood and prayed for homes to be spared from fire, as a number of years ago, the forest service was doing a control burn in the forest near our home and suddenly the wind got up and the “controlled” burn became an “uncontrolled” wildfire. I looked out the window from my personal office in our home and saw flames coming down the hill near our house. The sun was setting and I saw this enormous red mushroom cloud over the forest area toward the west. It looked like something out of an apocalyptic movie portraying the end of the world.

There is a portion of scripture that we have prayed over our property and us personally for years and that scripture is Psalm 91. I gasped when I saw the fire headed for our community, although we had been on alert about the controlled burn, we never dreamed it would come near our little mountain community. I could feel the spirit of fear trying to come over me, so I started praying in tongues; then, I felt this overwhelming peace and I heard the voice of the Lord speak this scripture in Psalm 91:7 to my spirit. “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.”

Testimony of God’s Protection

It was amazing that the very scripture we had quoted so many times out loud in prayer, the Spirit of the Lord spoke that same scripture back to me. I knew the fire would not come to our house, but I was immediately concerned about our neighbor’s homes across the road, so I began praying for the Lord to spare their houses, as well. Since we had offered the fire fighters the use of our chapel on the property as a staging base, and a place for the crews to come and refresh themselves, they were coming and going. In just a little while, one crew of the hot shots came in and gave us all good news. They said they finally had the fire under control, as they got a break from “Mother Nature” and the wind changed direction and instead of the prevailing winds coming from the Southwest, they had shifted absolutely from the opposite direction, and the fire began blowing back on itself, causing it to cease and helping them put it out.

We praised God and testified to the firemen that we were praying and we knew it was God who changed the wind. We serve an amazing God. We must all remember that “Mother Nature” is subject to “Father God” and He has the final Word on any situation. Jesus spoke, “Peace be still” to the wind and it obeyed Him. God tells us what He will do for us, as His children, and He wants us to believe Him and take Him at His Word. Below are the scriptures we stood on for the Lord to spare us and others from the threats of destruction by fire. Another friend a few years ago in Yorba Linda, California had the same experience as we all prayed and stood on God’s Word. The homes in his entire neighborhood and all around him were totally consumed in flames, yet his house remained standing untouched by the fire.

Mark 4:39 – And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Isaiah 43:2 – When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Matthew 24:43-47: But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

We Can Walk in the Overcoming Life

We pray these scriptures will be a help to you. Remember there is only one safe place in the hour we live, and that is in the will of God, which is to “Abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1).” To be in the shadow of the Almighty, means we must stay close to God in these perilous times and He will guide us through any tribulation that the devil throws at us. Please pray for me to have the time to write a longer article on the subject of “What Does God’s Word say about…Overcoming Natural Disasters.” We have personally, down through the years, faced a hurricane, tornado, hail storms, lightning storms, snow storms and fires and have come through all of them, protected by the Hand of God. In a previous newsletter we shared the testimony of how we stood against a tornado only a few miles from our home coming directly at us and the Lord led us to rebuke it and it dissipated.

We are grateful to know a loving God who extends mercy and grace to us and has protected many others in the midst of storms, as well. Although some have lost all their material goods, their lives were spared. His protection in the midst of a storm is an act of our God’s love. However, God wants us to come to a greater place in Him and be able to stop the enemy from all the destruction he is doing at this time. Many of God’s people suffer destruction because of a lack of knowledge. This means we do not know the promises of God written in His Word so the enemy robs from us. He robbed from me for many years until I understood the nature and love of God and how He is ever faithful to His Word.

Hosea 4:6: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge….”

The Lord once spoke to me about my prayerlessness and told me if I would spend as much time praying about my problems, as I did talking about them, I would not even have them. I realized many of my problems could have been prevented if I had been praying diligently. The Bible says, “We have not, because we ask not.” If we spend most of our time on worldly things and fail to pray, this is an open door for the enemy to come in and rob from us. His robbery can come many ways. He can rob us of our family members, our relationships, our homes, our jobs, our money, our spouses, our prayer time, our Bible reading time, our peace, our joy and his prime target is to rob us of our faith. The Bible says, that “faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.”

When we do not spend time in the Word and in prayer, our sin of omission is the door by which the devil can get us to sin. Let us each shut that door right now and pray for one another and our land so that we can be healed and our nation can be healed. The devil is trying to kill people at this hour, while God wants us to have life and to have it more abundantly! Many right now are in life and death struggles. Prayer and faith can stop the devil from the destruction that he is bringing on this earth. We must stand together as God’s people and rise up against him at this hour and overcome the works of the devil in our nation and our culture. The Lord told us in Matthew 24 what the end times would look like before He returned, but also promised us that “he that endureth to the end shall be saved.” We must ask the Lord for the strength and power to overcome and endure unto the end.

James 4:2 – Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

John 10:10 – The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

1 John 3:8 – He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

I want to share in a new book how God has made provision in the Word of God for all of His children to be protected in these weather related situations (and really in any threatening circumstance.) Please pray that I will have the time to be able to get this book written so it can help God’s people to walk in faith to stop the works of the devil. Since we are living in the last days, we have to stay close to God and we must learn to walk in the Spirit and experience the Overcoming Life of Christ in our lives. We must remember we can do nothing without Christ, and it is not by our works of righteousness that we receive anything; it is rather by faith in what Christ did for us on the cross. We must also be totally committed to His will. Therein lies the power to rebuke storms and overcome in any circumstance, for without Him we can do nothing, but with Him nothing is impossible.

Matthew 17:20 – And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Luke 1:37 – For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Luke 10:19 – Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

John 8:28 – Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

John 15:5 – I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Titus 3:5 – Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

John 14:12 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Let us not disappoint God, but rather let us desire to walk in His greater works. We can do it through the power of the Holy Spirit and by making a total commitment to God to give up our way and walk in His ways.

Being Thankful in All Circumstances

Being Thankful in All Circumstances

by Betty Miller

One of the most important keys that will make it possible for us to walk in kingdom living is our expression of praise. The Lord’s prayer begins in an attitude of worship and praise, “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth” (Luke 11:2). Praise is the will of God, and heaven overflows with it.“And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready” (Revelation 19:5-7).

Since the presence of praise is voiced continually in heaven, our voices should also be lifted up in praise to our Lord. In 1Thessalonians 5:16-18 we are told to, “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” The Lord tells us here that we are to have an attitude of joy, thanksgiving and prayer at all times, no matter what the conditions or circumstances are that surround us.

This verse does not mean that we are to thank God for bad things and tragedies that come our way. It means that we are to remain joyful no matter what is happening in our lives because we have the Lord, and in Him we shall overcome no matter what the devil is trying to do to us. The Lord does not want us to thank Him for the bad things that happen to us because He did not send them. He is not the author of evil. We are not to become bitter over life’s circumstances, but rather to continue to rejoice in the Lord. It is the will of God for us to rejoice no matter what comes. It is not the will of God to receive evil things as from Him. It is an insult to God to thank Him for accidents, sickness, tragedy, etc. He does not send those things to us, the devil does. We are told to resist the devil, and submit to God. (James 4:7, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”) We are to love and rejoice in the Lord in spite of what the devil tries to do to us.

One of Satan’s favorite schemes is to send something bad into someone’s life and blame it on God. If he can get people to believe it is from the Lord, he has an easier time convincing them of his next lie, that God has failed them and deserted them. He follows this up with a further lie, “Why go on serving a God who does these kinds of things to you?” Satan’s real target is to destroy our faith in God. He just attacks different areas to get at different people.

Our prayers should be in an attitude of praise even in the midst of our trials. We should lift our voices and praise the Lord like this, “Father, I praise You and love You, and no matter what the devil is trying to do to me. I know that You shall bring me through victoriously! Show me what I need to do, Lord. Show me the door that I have opened to the enemy. I resist him in the name of Jesus, and I command him to leave with all of his oppression and attacks. Jesus, You are the Lord of my life, and I submit to You and will never deny You no matter what happens. Praise God!”.

Instead of praying like that, many Christians fall for the enemy’s lies and come under condemnation and suffering. They begin to question God and even become mad at Him. The fault is not the Lord’s but our own. We miss His complete victory because we have attributed Satan’s attack to the Lord. We can even open the door for the enemy to come against us by not having a cheerful and rejoicing heart. We may complain and gripe to God about our plight in life instead of using the weapons He has given us to overcome the devil. Telling our troubles to God is not complaining, but blaming God for them is. One of the greatest weapons is our weapon of praise. We must praise God that He is there for us and lean not to our own understanding.

Voting, Unity & the Future of the USA

“Our Forefathers Started This Nation on Christian Values, Now We Must Keep Them”

As Christians, we should care about the future of our nation.  We should care about who serves on the Supreme Court, and social issues like abortion and traditional marriage and also the social and cultural future of our nation. We have the opportunity to vote for men and women who support our Christian values. Some people do not want to vote as they believe we are to separate church from state. However, separation between church and state does not mean we are to be isolated from politics, but rather that we influence politics with Christian and biblical principles. Separation between church and state was meant to keep the government from overruling the church; as the new republic our forefathers founded, wanted to be free of the government telling the church what they could do. It was about freedom of religion so the government would not interfere with the freedom of God’s people.

We must have a president who will support religious freedom at all levels of government. I am thankful that currently one of President Trump’s strong stands is for religious freedom for Christians in this nation, as well as his strong stand against abortion.  Remember we are voting for more than just one leader, we will also be voting for either the Democratic Party Platform or the Republican Party Platform when we choose our president.  Read the platforms of both parties and you will find that the Democratic Party supports abortion, while the Republican Party supports the sanctity of life. That one thing alone should influence our Christian vote. There are many other issues on the Democratic Platform that are opposed to the Christian belief, but this one issue alone should tell us what party to vote for.

Democratic and Republican Platforms Side-by-Side Posted on Billy Graham’s Website:

https://billygraham.org/story/2016-party-platforms/

Our current and future president will face enormous challenges and problems and he will need our support and prayers, not our criticism. We are admonished in the Word of God to pray for all leaders, as God wants us to have leaders that will make decisions that will allow us to live quiet and peaceable lives (not chaos) in an environment of godliness and honesty according to the scripture below:

1 Timothy 2:1-5:
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

For Those Who Have Chosen Not to Vote at All.  Many people do not even want to vote at all because they hate discord and disunity. That should not be our attitude, as not voting at all is still “a decision,” as we are allowing others to vote for us and passively accepting what they want.  Continue to read aboutSpeaking Blessing Not Curses and How This Will Will Make a Difference in the Course of History.”

Excerpt from the Blog:
Corona Virus Pandemic

First of all, God did not overtly orchestrate this Covid19 Pandemic as a judgment to punish the world or His people.  However, it is a judgment from God.  It is not the “wrath of God” that the Bible speaks about that is to come upon the world in the last time as the final judgment on the wicked.  I know some have said this is not a judgment of God and it comes from the devil.  Yes, it does comes from the devil, but our problem is we need to get a Biblical definition of what “the judgment of God” is in order to understand what is happening now.

Although judgment usually has an evil connotation to it (the execution of the penalty for sin), it also has a positive side. Judgment has to do with the sowing and reaping process. This is defined in

Galatians 6:7-9  “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

From this we can see that the negative side of judgment is that evil reaps destruction, while on the positive side; good that is sown through Jesus is rewarded. God’s judgment on evil is seen by the curse that is on wicked men. While God’s judgment for the righteous will manifest in His blessings and rewards on them. This is true for individuals as well as nations. Negative judgments have been hanging over our nation for some time because of the many sins that we have corporately committed.  Now we are reaping the fruit of our national sins.

Romans 6:23  “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
